This poolside paradise just wasn’t quite finished without a beautiful patio cover to escape the sun on those hot Texas days! This patio was designed with the intention of looking original to the home, connecting the breezeway with the bay windows, and providing  much needed shade after a refreshing dip in the pool. This cover features 6 recessed lights to provide adequate lighting at night, 2 fans to provide a nice breeze on those hot summer days, and 2 large bluetooth speakers to keep the party going at all times. The ceilings were finished with stained pine tongue and groove. The span between the breezeway and bay-windows required a post to be installed with a concrete mount to provide adequate support for the weight load. The clients opted for a cedar post to be installed to keep the natural wood look of the patio consistent throughout. This post had a cedar trim piece installed around the bottom of the post to give it a nice finish while covering the concrete mount. A 6 inch gutter was installed across the entire eave to redirect water runoff to the homeowner’s desired location. As always, the roof was matched as best as possible to the existing roof to give the patio the illusion of being an original structure to the home.
